Joshua Tree

click photo to enlarge		 Joshua Tree National Park is a very unique park. While it is desert and rock I find it very beautiful. The Joshua trees themselves can be very interesting to look at. The rock formations are kind of other worldly.

click photo to enlarge		 Joshua Tree has many trails like this one and also many mapped rock climbs.

click photo to enlarge		 Believe it or not Karen is right smack in the middle of this picture. I decided I was going to go off and do what they call bouldering. Climbing the rock formation without ropes or other climbing aids. I did find a school that teaches rock climbing to the newbie to the sport. I just might get around to doing this.

click photo to enlarge		 I have been to this spot in Joshua Tree three times now but this is the first time there has been this much water. The splash of green color was also very pretty.

click photo to enlarge		 This is the Desert Queen Ranch or Keys Ranch. The park service offers a walking tour of the ranch in the winter. This was the second time we took the tour. The weather this time was absolutely fabulous. While the fires were raging at the house we were off playing in the park.
