Ojai Run

I know another driving event. But, this one was through an area we hadn't been to before. It started in a town called Moorpark, went north to Santa Paula, Ojai and ended on the ocean at Carpinteria.
The roads were a lot of fun but the scenery in the towns in this area was even better. We are going to have to go explore by ourselves so we have more time. This picture is in downtown Ojai. The name Ojai is an Indian word and the town is located in Ventura county.  There is a road route 33 that goes north from town into a national forest we didn't take but looks like a great motorcycle road.  Hmm another road trip coming??
This was our lunch stop in Ojai. The area is very pretty and not over crowded like a lot of other towns in the LA area.
This picture is in Santa Paula which we drove through. Another place that looks very interesting. This is the old train station. They have an oil museum and an aviation museum in town that look very nice. They bill themselves as the Citrus capital of the world and there are a lot of citrus stands along some of the roads. So, another trip for another day.
This is the beach in Carpinteria. We had read it was very lovely and not as crowded as the beaches down towards LA. This picture shows that. This is another small town just over the Ventura county line into Santa Barbara County.
