Canyon De Chelly National Monument , pronounced De Shay, is on Navajo Indian lands in the four corners region of Arizona. The four corners region is the northeast corner of AZ where the 4 states come together at one corner. You can go down into the canyon with an Indian guide but we didn't have enough time. We will have to go back |

They offer Jeep tours, horseback tours and hiking tours. Since our time as limited we chose to drive along the south rim. As you can see the coloring of these canyon walls is pretty spectacular. |

Notice the reflection of the blue sky in the water down in the canyon. The canyon walls are about 1000 ft high. |

This spot is called Ledge Overlook ruins. There are actually ruins of an old Indian pueblo down below. You will see it in this picture and the one below it. |

This is quite a special place and I want to go back again when we have more time to travel down into the canyon and see the ruins up close. |
