The Hollywood Bowl was first built back in 1922. It's current configuration
seat just under 18,000 people. This is a view from the back of the
stage. They just completed demolishing the dome and rebuilding it. They had
an open house so since we have this to see Eric Clapton later this summer we
went to see where we would be sitting. This is the 5th dome.

This is a view from the top looking towards the stage. Yeowsa... it's
along way down.
Compared to the Blossom Music Center in Cleveland this is further back
then on the lawn. They both seat about the same number of people but the
Bowl seating is narrower and longer. I expect that like Blossom the sound
at the back would be pretty lousy. Way off in the upper right corner of
the picture is the Hollywood sign.

This is the view from our seats for Clapton. If they were too far back I was
going to sell them and just not go.

This is a picture from the hills overlooking the Bowl. It kind of gives you an
idea just how far from the stage seats go. The stage is at the lower left.
