For those of you growing tired of the New Zealand South Island photos, relief
is on the way as these are the last of them.
This is the Dart River in Mount Aspiring National Park. Some of the
Middle Earth scenes from Lord of the Rings movies were filmed here.

This is Mirror Lakes, famous for it's mountain reflections in the water.
This scenic area is along the road to Milford Sound in Fiordland National
Park. Fiordland is one of the wettest places on earth and the weather is
unpredictable at all times.

This photo of Lake Wakatipu was taken along the road to Glenorchy. Glenorchy
is where we boarded the jet boat for the ride on the Dart River.
Lake Wakatipu is a Z-shaped lake in a glacier carved valley. It has
unusual variations in water levels called "seiches" which are caused
by wind or variations in atmospheric pressure.

Out jetboat on the Dart River navigating a narrow channel
where we stopped to relax and take a short tramp on a tract to a chasm
with a waterfall. A tramp is a hike or walk and a tract is the trail.
