This is the entrance to the Richard M. Nixon Library and Birthplace in Yorba Linda CA. Past presidents have libraries where they showcase the history of the president. They will have many different displays but each one that we have been to shows items received from other Heads of State. You see, gifts received by a president belong to the American people and they do not get to keep them when they leave office.

This is the gardens and reflecting pool on the grounds. The large white building in the background is a replica of the East Room at the White House. The East Room is the largest room in the White House and is where the first family might entertain world leaders. It just opened on August 21st so it had only been open a few weeks when we went.

This is the birth house of Richard Nixon which is on the grounds of the Library. The picture is deceiving. It makes it look bigger then it really is inside.

They have on display a 70 ft long replica of the White House in unbelievable detail inside and out. I understand that come Thanksgiving they will decorate it inside and out for the Christmas holidays.

The back side is open so you can see in the house. All details are accurate. Even the telephones ring and the light switches work.
