Valley of Fire Nevada State Park

click photo to enlarge		 The Valley of Fire State Park is about 40 miles Northeast of Las Vegas. If you are ever in Las Vegas you should take a drive and see it. The pictures taken here are during the harsh mid day sun. I would love to see it in the soft morning or evening light. The road twists and snakes through beautiful sandstone formations.

click photo to enlarge		 This would be a lot of fun on the motorcycle or in the convertible. Look at all the twists, turns and dips in the road. When in Vegas pack a lunch and go to the Valley of Fire. They have picnic tables and such and it would be a great place to picnic.

There are some nice hiking trails but if you are there in the summer get out before the heat of the day.

 

click photo to enlarge		 You can drive through the park and continue on to Lake Mead and follow it down to Hover Dam for a complete day trip.
