We have been to the North Rim, South Rim, the East Drive and down to
the river at Peach Springs and Diamond Creek. This page is going to be

There had been snow the day before we went and it made for a very pretty
drive. It also made for about 28 miles of muddy dirt roads. The West Rim
is on Hualapai Indian lands and you won't find very much information on it
except in Las Vegas. There are a lot of tour busses / SUV's that bring
people from Las Vegas here. It is closer to Las Vegas then going to
the South Rim.

The drive there was spectacular and it had the largest stand of Joshua trees
I have ever seen. Unfortunately when we got to the rim of the Canyon you
couldn't see any thing because the canyon was totally filled with fog.

The Grand Canyon is just one of those places I can't get enough of. I still
have not taken the mule rides down into the canyon but will one of these days.

This coming spring we are going to hike down to the Indian village of Supai.
It is an 8 mile one way hike. I'll let you know if my wife clobbers me for
this one<grin>. We'll hike down one day, spend one day hiking around in
the canyon and the following day hike out. They have 3 spectacular waterfalls
I want to get pictures of. The only ways to the village are the 8 mile hike, a
helicopter or rent a horse.
