Zion National Park is on the edge of the Colorado Plateau. It was formed by earthquakes, uplift of the rock and erosion. This view is the Court of the Patriarchs. |

This view is taken on the Kayenta trail. We hiked about 6 miles this day. Up and down. Zion goes from about 3,000 feet to 8,000 feet in elevation. |

We were there in May and at the elevation we were hiking the spring wild flowers were just finishing. |
