Zion National Park

Zion National Park is on the edge of the Colorado Plateau. It was formed by earthquakes, uplift of the rock and erosion. This view is the Court of the Patriarchs.

The scenery is incredible. This falls was on the hike to the upper emerald pools.

This view is taken on the Kayenta trail. We hiked about 6 miles this day. Up and down. Zion goes from about 3,000 feet to 8,000 feet in elevation.

We were there in May and at the elevation we were hiking the spring wild flowers were just finishing.

The river is the Virgin River which flows through Zion.
