While we were in Prescott there were 14 different fires going in Arizona. We stopped at the Ernest A. Love Field to have breakfast at Susie's Skyway Restaurant. The food was pretty good. While we were there we saw the Forest Service planes taking off and landing. |

So, after breakfast we went down to watch them load the planes with Phoscheck. That's the red fire retardant they drop on the brush that hasn't burned yet in an effort to stop the fire. The Helicopters on the other hand drop water directly on the fire in an effort to put it out. All the smoke is from the very old plane they use in fire fighting as it starts up. |

Later in the day we were out and about and saw this small fire so we went to see what we could see. A hillside behind a development of homes was burning. In the photo you can see a helicopter with it's bucket hanging down. |

In this photo you can see the plane has just dropped the red Phoscheck. It hasn't all hit the ground yet. |
