Monitor Pass

Monitor Pass is one of the roads that cross the Northern Sierra's. It is
just south of Lake Tahoe. This photo was early morning and the last photo on
this page is early evening. Monitor Pass is on Highway 89.

The scenery if just fabulous and consists of wonderful views like this,
alpine meadows and alpine lakes.

This is looking down at one of the alpine meadows. Way off in the distance
some of the mountain tops still had a bit of snow and this is the middle of
August.
