When you drive the 60 into Riverside you pass Mt. Rubidoux. It was there so
we hiked it. They have a non denominational Easter Sunrise Service on the
top of Mt. Rubidoux every year. One of these Easter Sundays we will make it up
there for the service. While it is called Mount it is only about 600 to 800
ft above the surrounding area.

At the top is a flag and also a cross.

This is a view showing the steepness. One one side to the Mount it is all
grass and on the other boulders and cactus. On the grass / dirt side there are trails
you can hike up to get to the top. Some are very steep and others not quite
as steep. You can see the switchback in the trail here.

On the other side there is a road going to the top. There is also this stone
bridge and tower called the peace tower built by Frank Miller, who was also the
builder of the Mission Inn in Riverside.
