Arches National Park

Arches National Park entrance is about 4 miles from downtown Moab which makes it very easily accessible. Because of this location I was able to be there at sunset, when this picture was taken and also at sunrise when the next photo was taken. While I never got a real dramatic sunset or sunrise just the normal one on these colorful rocks really make the colors come out.

This one was taken at sunrise and of course being the nutjob that I am I got there almost an our before sunrise. The colors really come out during sunrise and within an hour of sunrise the colors washout.

There are over 200 arches in the park and this one is named Double Arch. Notice how the color looks washed out as compared to the previous sunrise picture. Because Arches is located so close to Moab we could go in, hike to some of the arches then go back to Moab for lunch.

During the clouds would build and by afternoon we would have storm clouds. We never actually got any rain but it made for interesting skys.
