Colorado National Monument scenery screams the American Southwest. Red
towering cliffs, sheer walls and a big open sky. It is located in western
Colorado near Grand Junction. |

We did not spend much time here as we were passing through on our way to
Ouray but we did stop and have a picnic lunch while enjoying the scenery. |

There is only one paved road in the park and the park is not real big but
certainly worth the drive if you are in the area. The bridge in the
picture below is not in the park but I photographed it on the way to the
park. |
