Glen Helen Raceway Park 

  

click photo to enlarge		 Well, I have lived here in California  for over 6 years and this track, Glen Helen Raceway Park,  is about 30 minutes away so I thought it was time to go try some action shots. The whole intent was to convey motion. Use a slow enough shutter speed that the spokes are blurred and pan along with the rider so that the rider is sharp.

click photo to enlarge		 This was only the second time I had tried to shoot something moving. The first time being the birds at Bolsa Chica. I have to admit it is a lot of fun and boy do you blow through the digital film fast.

click photo to enlarge		 They have practice sessions most Saturdays from 8 to 1:00 and admission during this time is free. I was able to wander about the track taking pictures wherever I wanted.

click photo to enlarge		 I only brought one memory card, enough for 500 pictures. Ha, I was done in less then an hour with that.

click photo to enlarge 		I will go back again one of these Saturday mornings while Karen is still in bed<grin>. It was a lot of fun trying to shoot these guys and I had a few asking if I was going to be selling them.
