Well, after my foray into bird photography I have been anxious to try it again
so I took a trip to the Salton Sea. This time to shoot birds.

Well, along with looking for good places to photograph birds I ran across
this abandoned building. I'm not sure why but every time I go to the Salton
Sea it has a heavy marine layer which makes photography difficult.

This Red Tailed Hawk was sitting by the side of the road in a tree.He let
my get pretty close in the truck before he decided to fly away.

This is where I stopped and ate lunch. On my drive to this spot there was
probably 30 or 40 Snowy Egrets in the road. As I drove along they would fly
further down the road and land in the road again so I go to watch them play
leap frog with each other. I just drove very slow and watched them taking
off and landing.

Here are a couple of the Egrets. After shooting birds at Bolsa Chica I was
somewhat disappointed with the Salton Sea. They had many many places blocked
off so you could not get close to the birds for photography. Next time I'll go
back to Bolsa Chica.
