I am sitting here typing this on Easter Sunday morning and looked up information on it to find it was dedicated on Easter Sunday morning in 1951. This first picture is of the first statue made of Christ blessing mankind. It is 10 ft tall and weighs three tons.

The statues were created by Antone Martin over a 10 year period. He died in 1961. There are more then 50 figures that comprise the park including one of the last supper.
