Lynx Lake in
Prescott Arizona

While visiting my Aunt in Prescott AZ one of my favorite places to go take pictures is Lynx Lake. This visit over the Memorial weekend was no exception. The rainy morning was kind of uncharacteristic though. But there was no shortage of hearty folks out trying to catch Mr. Fishie.

This guy told me it gave him a chance to try out his new $200 rain suit. The camouflage boat with the American flag flying proudly was just getting ready to launch.

I watched this Bald Eagle for about an hour. He was watching over the lake and I had hoped he would swoop down to catch breakfast but it never did. The Eagle potters told me the nesting pair has two youngsters in the nest and that any day they would be pushing them out of the nest for their first flight. Apparently they will stay here till they teach the babies how to fish then they move on. One morning as I was driving away from the lake one of them came flying directly over the car carrying some twigs in it claws. It was down low and very close and was quite a sight. Unfortunately I was driving and could not photograph.
