California Speedway

  

click photo to enlarge		 Cal Club one of the regions of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) rented out the California Speedway for the weekend. They allowed our Miata club to come in. We had the run of the track so I could go anywhere and take photos<grin>. The picture to the left was submitted to a local magazine and I won dinner at a nice local restaurant. It was a stunning late winter day where we had a beautiful blanket of snow in the mountains and the temps in the valley were around 70.

click photo to enlarge		 Our group got to go out on the track and take a few laps. Karen drove and I stayed and took pictures. She can be seen zooming around the track in the lower right. We were even in the seats above the hot pit area which are very expensive seating. A very enjoyable day.
