El Molino Viejo

El Molino Viejo, or the Old Mill was built around 1816 as a grist mill for the
San Gabriel Mission. The lower walls of the museum are up to 5 feet thick and
are made from oven baked brick while the upper floor walls are made of adobe. |

The California Art Club keeps a gallery of paintings for sale on the upper
floor or what used to be the granary. The outside of the building is very
shaded and there are gardens around. |

The passageway leads downstairs to where the water wheels were. The Old
Mill is located in San Marino, a very exclusive city near Pasadena. |
