For whatever reason one day I got an email from Subaru inviting me to Subaru
WRX Days. Now I had no idea what it was but it was free, offered free food and
an opportunity to drive the new Legacy 2.5 GT around a custom course. This
vehicle is rated at 243 HP so while certainly not a leader in that category is
pretty good. |

The course it turns out was designed to show off the all wheel drive. As you
were coming out of a 90 degree corner they has a water sprinkler going on
the pavement and if you were on it hard it would start to slide and the all
wheel drive would allow you to just pull straight out. I had never
experienced this but have experienced other advantages of the all wheel
drive in snow. |

All in all it was a fun morning and the food they provided was pretty good
too. They even had a small track where you could race remote controlled
Subaru's. |
