Grubstake Days is a community celebration held in Yucca Valley in honor of the mining heritage of the Morongo Basin. We went for the parade :-). It was a typical sunny day but was very windy. The last time we were at Grubstake days was for the rodeo about 9 years ago but alas they don't have a rodeo anymore.

As usual there were antique fires trucks but they had a rather large collection of antique tractors too. The parade was about 90 minutes long.

Hmmmm REPENT... Well this was a first for me to see in a parade. The Shriners in the Go-Karts are having a blast. I want to do this next year. Rent a go-kart and drive it in the parade. They had little figure 8 drills they performed in formation. I have a feeling we will go see this parade next year also if I am not riding in a go kart.
