The Automobile Driving Museum is located near the vineyards of El Segundo. This museum is very unique in that not only do they have a great collection of antique cars but each Sunday they bring out three of them to take you for a ride. It is really very unique. Most of the cars on display have been restored to drivable condition. |

They have more then 70 cars on display. The one to the left is a Kaiser. Yes it was owned and run by the same man who started the Health Care company I work for. They have a large selection of Packard's too. Like the peach colored 1941 Packard Clipper Darrin. |

Right around this beautiful 1959 Austin Healy were a few MG's. The Austin was a 6 cylinder that produced 124 horsepower. Admission is a suggested donation of $5 per person. You can even find the ride schedule on their web page. I got to go for a ride in one of the owners Studebaker Avanti. I specifically asked since I can still remember riding in my Aunt's Avanati back in 1963 while visiting Washington DC. Sitting in the car I could recall the little control knobs that looked like aircraft parts and the tuck and roll upholstery. |
