Skyline Drive-In

Skyline Drive-in is located in Barstow off highway old 58. it was first opened
in 1966 and closed in 1987. Since 1996 it has been reopened and closed a
couple times under different management. The current management keeps the
place in top notch form. Everything is very neat and very clean. |

In the projection room Drive-Ins still use film as digital media and
equipment is too costly. There are two screens so two projection set ups and
of course spare parts, bulbs and splice machines in case the film breaks. |

Inside the snack bar everything is kept spotless and prices are very
reasonable. This is a drive in so people bring everything including
a couch to sit on. Actually it is the seat out of the van. In the picture
below I was o the roof of the snack bar next to the projection room. Since
I was taking photos for the owner I had access to any place I wanted. |
