Cabot's Pueblo Museum is located in Desert Hot Springs. Every time we go up to
Joshua Tree we see this town off in the distance and after 10 years we finally
made it over there to see what was there. The Hopi Indian inspired Pueblo was
built by Cabot Yerxa. He started construction in 1913 and worked on it until
he died in 1965. |

Like many who lived and built in the desert Cabot used pieces of things he
found. There are beams from old telephone poles and windows from many
different structures. Many obtained from old abandoned homesteads. |

The museum is open all year and they provide guided tours where you will
learn about Cabot and his family. It is an interesting place to visit. The
trading post has many high quality items and the grounds were immaculate. |
