A car show in Southern California? Who woulda thunk it. There are so many car
shows here in SCAL that the last few years I have only gone to some of the
more unusual ones. This one was pretty close to home and featured over 1,000
classic cars, hot rods, exotics, trucks and motorcycles. The car to the left
is a Henry J. Kaiser. This is the same guy who started Kaiser Permanente where
I work. He really got into a lot of different things. |

The batmobile in the TV series Batman was created from a Lincoln Futura and
customized by George Barris. There were a few made and I am not sure how
many still exist. The Cool Cruise takes place in the historic area of LaVerne called
Old Town. There were vehicles everywhere and all kinds of them. |

The car to the left is a 1951 Kaiser Traveler Deluxe 2 door hatchback. It
was advertised as 3 cars in one. I have never seen anything like these
tiny bicycles before. They were certainly low riders and very heavily
chrome plated.. The Cool Cruise was definitely worth going to and I may go
again. |
