We were out on a motorcycle ride on the Angeles Crest Highway. We came across this staging area for a small fire that was going on. We then talekd to the chopper pilot there from Colorado.

It temperatures were in the mid nineties at the house and in the 70's up on the Angeles Crest. Wonderful day for a ride in the mountains. The Angles Crest Highway is 66 miles of wonderful two lane riding in the mountains. You do have to be careful in the mornings because of the number of crotch rocket motorcycles riding like it is a race track. By afternoon they pretty much give it up to the other more sedate drivers and riders.

The fire was a very small on and is in the middle of the picture to  the left. They had pretty well knocked it down by this time. As long as they were not fueling they were happy to let me walk around the chopper and answer any questions.
