Oracle Arizona

Earlier in the year when we went to the Bio Sphere we decided we wanted to
go back again to see Oracle, the town near where it was. We always use the
excuse we are going to look for a place to retire and maybe we are. As we
drove into the
town we came upon this little church and it was so pretty we had to go see it.
Oracle has a population of just under 4,000. |

We then came across this little art park so had to go wandering. Oracle is
north of Tucson at at an elevation of 4,500 ft so it is about 15 degrees
cooler then Tucson. The area seemed to be a bit of an artists colony but
there were also a number of ranchers in the area. |

We enjoyed the beauty of the area and found real estate prices to be very
reasonable by CA standards. We looked at one property that had 2-1/2
acres, a horse area and I believe was almost 3,000 sq feet for $300k. It
is an interesting possibility but to date our favorite retirement place is
still Prescott Arizona. |
