Cal Poly Strawberry Festival

Oxnard has a strawberry festival every year that is always shown on TV but it
is about 90 minutes away. So when I saw there was one a lot closer in Pomona
we went. The festival is on the farm store grounds of Cal Poly Pomona. But it
is not just s strawberry festival it is also a Tractor and Car show. These
people to the left are in the strawberry patch picking their own strawberries. |

Well, when I saw the truck advertised my speed shop I had to get a picture.
They also had plenty of strawberry stuff to eat such as snow cones, jam,
funnel cake with strawberries and other items. We got there just as it
opened and it was not very crowded. By the time we left it was getting
pretty packed. |

We bought our strawberries already picked in the farm store. I am not sure
I have seen an antique tractor show before. There was a whole bunch of
antique tractors on display and also some large farm equipment. A
Cleveland Tractor? The Cleveland Motor Plow Company changed its name in
1917 to the Cleveland Tractor Company. Notice the rear sprocket, the red
one. It is raised up high very similar to today's Caterpillar dozers. |
