We have a friend who instead of your more typical investments buys military
vehicles. Many of these things are brand spanking new. Never been used, but our
government was going to crush them. He is able to pick these things up often
for pennies on the dollar. They are worth more as scrap metal then he pays for
them.

Seems kind of fitting that as I type this page our Government is shut down.
How efficient I guess. He collects many other things too but as of late his
thing is military vehicles. We finally made it to his place to tour his
collections.

I have honestly never seen anything quite like it. He keeps batteries on
chargers and starts them up on occasion to keep them in working order. It
seems sometimes the military comes to him for parts for more rare vehicles
he has. If you want to collect things like this you better have some
property. <grin>
