2013 was the 47th year for Wrightwood's annual Mountaineer days. The event is
hosts by the chamber of commerce. It is you quintessential small town event
and we went to see the parade. This was a restored tractor that a man living
in Wrightwood had restored. It was the family tractor from their farm in Ohio
shipped out to California. He was selling a book he had written about the
tractor.

They close of the main street and set up booths selling all your typical
crafts. The have events like a water balloon toss, watermelon eating
contest, talent contest, talent show and bed races.

There were some questionable characters wandering around town in old west
garb. The little office below kept everybody in line though. This little guy
rode his bike the entire length of the parade. He was having a ball riding
in the parade.
