The Living Desert was one of the first places we visited after moving to CA on 2001. The price of admission was pretty reasonable and an annual pass was only a few dollars more so the first few years we had an annual pass. I think it was costing us like $35 for a family annual pass. Now a family membership is $130. But the Bank of America has a Museums on Us program where the first weekend of every month there are a number of museums where admission is free. We have been using this quite a bit the last two years.

We have watched the growth of this wonderful place over the years and watched as they add more and more animals. Their hospital is first class and the operating room below if for the smaller animals. They also have one for the larger animals. During the summer they are only open until 1:30 as it gets to hot in Palm Desert where they are located. Well worth a visit and in particular on Bank of America.
