Pilgrim Place festival

  

click photo to enlarge		 In the neighboring town of Claremont there is a housing community called Pilgrim Place. It is a community for those who have served in religious or non profit organizations. It is home for those who dedicated their lives to helping others. Once a year they have a fund raiser called Pilgrim Place Festival in order to help raise funds to assist those living in the community who need financial assistance. They hold this on the Friday and Saturday before Thanksgiving. Well it has taken us about 12 years to finally find the time to go see what it is all about and I took Friday off to go.

click photo to enlarge		 There was of course food. but they also had many booths. There was one with a member of the local Tongva Indian Tribe to provide history on the area, others selling crafts they had made and old time games for the kids to play. We were really surprised to see how many people attended. We even saw them brining people in on bus tours for the day.
