Well, groupon and living social kept us busy trying new things in 2015 and I already have a few things booked for 2016.  I can't say yet what they are as the first is a surprise for Karen's birthday and once in a while she actually looks at this web site. This was horseback riding at the Marshall Canyon Equestrian Center the weekend before Christmas. From our trip to China to our segway tour of Long Beach to Horseback riding. They put me on a horse named Rocket and during our ride I would  discover why they named him Rocket. Karen was on  a Belgian Draft horse named Hercules, slow and steady. The photos are all taken using an iPhone so they are what they are. There were only 4 of us and our trail guide.

We have been on horses a few times over the years and when I say few you can count it on one hand. But nothing like this, these were trails in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains so they were not flat. When we came to the fist serious change in elevation  where the trail dipped down then immediately went back up and was kind of steep we were given instructions how to do it. I also learned that when the horse came to an uphill they like to take off and gallop up the incline and Rocket.. well now I knew why he was named Rocket because he really took off. He would pass the horse in front of me if I did not slow him down. I tried telling him it was a no passing zone but.. he didn't seem to understand. He really startled me the first time he took off and I would just start laughing hysterically as he scared the crap out of me.
