click photo to enlarge		 When we lived in Ohio and visited California we stayed in a Hilton property a couple miles from the pier area. It was the only hotel in that area. Now it has totally changed and we don't even recognize the area where it was. Even the downtown area  of Huntington beach has changed a lot. But, whenever we go, I have to eat out on the pier at Ruby's diner and have their Guacamole Burger.

click photo to enlarge		 We don't go to the beach very often  and I always hope for big waves to photograph the surfers but.. it never seems to happen for me. Once I am retired Karen keeps saying when they are talking about big waves on the news we need to go see them and she is of course right. There are so many beach communities in Southern California and they are each different.
