click photo to enlarge		 2017 was a year for an epic wildflower bloom in Borrego Springs CA. The desert was awash in colors and fragrance. While you will not see it in my photos it was also packed with cars and people. We have experienced a few of the epic blooms at different locations but by far this is the largest we have witnessed in Borrego Springs. Now that I am retired we should have gone during the week when it would not be as crowded.

click photo to enlarge		 The state park was so crowded they stopped letting cars enter the driveway to the visitors center. When these blooms happen in the desert you just have  to get out and see it. The blooms only last a short time, a few weeks and then they are gone in the heat of the desert.
