One of our favorite living Ghost Towns is Chloride Arizona. We have been here many times and in fact stayed overnight twice at Shep's Miners Inn. Yesterdays Restaurant is sometimes the only place to eat in Chloride and is pretty good. Just outside of town on a dirt road are the murals done by Roy Purcell. |

Roy painted "The Journey" in 1966 in the Cerbat Mountains. in the 2000s he repainted it to bring back the vibrancy of the original work. It is accessible by a dirt road that can be accessed by a high clearance vehicle. 4 WD can be needed depending on the condition of the road and the last time it was graded. |
