I saw this museum on TV and it looked interesting. It is a collection of interesting things from the San Fernando Valley's past. There were a number of Hollywood starts who lived in the valley and many tings were filmed there and started there. BMX bikes and racing started in the valley and they were manufactured during the 1970s by Gary Littlejohn, Mongoose and Redline — the three big firms in the Valley. The movie Bad News Bears was shot right down the street from this museum. |

There were things like the S&H Green Stamps and the McDonalds Mascot SPEEDEE sign. The Pep Boys started in Philadelphia but the sign came from the Valley. The collection includes Western wear mogul Nudie Cohn's 1975 Cadillac convertible, still festooned with silver dollars and Texas Longhorns on its hood. |
