Since embarking on my journey to short term memory loss by retiring in early... um when was that now..? Oh right, December. We go out for a walk each day of 2 to 4 miles. After a winter storm that dumped snow in the mountains I took these pictures with my iPhone.

The Colonies development, next to us has these percolation basins to catch rain water and allow it to percolate down to recharge the underground aquifers. It makes for a very pretty walk and there is a large number of different birds that frequent the area. The mountains with a fresh coat of snow are very pretty.
