Cape Cod was our last stop before we went back home. While at Hyannis Port, when most folks were shopping, I went down to the marina. As I was photographing the Lauren a young man boarding  her told me she was in the TV series deadliest catch. This day we rode the Cape Cod scenic railroad. The picture in the lower left is a cranberry bog. Cranberry growers use flooding as a management tool to protect the plants from the cold, drying winds of winter, to harvest and remove fallen leaves and to control pests. In this photo the cranberries have all been harvested weeks ago.

We went to Veterans park beach and the John F. Kennedy Memorial. I didn't realize till writing this that we were in walking distance to the Kennedy Compound. Of course in Hyannis there was a JFK Museum. During most of our time on Cape Cod it was foggy. As we were flying out of Boston the remnants of hurricane Jose were going to be hitting the area the next day. So we got lucky on weather this trip.
