Centro de la Danza a Contemporary Cuban Dance Company

click photo to enlarge		 Our trip was with the tour company Road Scholar and they specialize in educational trips. As part of our trip one morning we went to see a contemporary Cuban dance company in Havana. After they put on a performance for us and some of our group danced with them. Then they sat down and talked with us.

click photo to enlarge		 They answered any questions we had as best as they could. The young man we were talking with spoke limited English but we managed. He started dancing when he was 7 and he is now 22. This group does performances around the world. They practice on average 6 hours a day when they are not traveling. He is also able to do other dancing on weekends to earn a little extra money. This was a very unique and enjoyable experience.
