We visited the Everglades National Park in Shark Valley and took the tram tour. Named Shark Valley because it is a valley at the head waters of the shark river, not because there are any sharks. They recommend getting reservations if you want to take the tram tour, which is what we did. The Tram tour takes you on a 15 mile  loop with a stop at the half way point to walk up to the tower with a beautiful view of the area. You can also rent a bicycle and ride the trail.

You will see plenty of alligators, birds and other wildlife on the tour. There is a Shark Valley Naturalist leading the tour providing information along the way. You will also need to pay the entry fee for the park, but being a senior citizen I have the senior pass. We had a very nice time and highly recommend the Tram tour with reservations. Bikes is a fun option but you never know if there will be a bike there to rent or not because they could all be out. You also have no narrative to learn anything about the park on a bike.
