We ate lunch on the waterfront town of Trinity, population 169 in summer and 30 in winter. After lunch we had a tour led by the mayor, Jim Miller. Not only was he Mayor, but he also held a few other titles in Trinity, mostly volunteer titles. Trinity and Bonavista were both very charming towns and lunch was very good and enjoyable. I just loved all these small towns, so very different from where we live in the Los Angeles area.

It was a very pretty day for photographs. It would also turn out to be the last pretty day for photographs, too. As Mark Twain once wrote, “You pays yer money, and you takes your chance.” Although, I’ve also seen it listed as “ you takes your choice”.
