Twillingate (Pop 2,200) is a town incorporated on September 30, 1965 on the the north eastern shore of the island of Newfoundland in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. We went along the shore stopping a few times for photos, and to visit the Long Lighthouse.

After the lighthouse, we went to Auk Winery for lunch, and wine tasting. You were only supposed to get to taste 6 wines but they weren’t really paying much attention to that. They make their wines from Newfoundland berries and fruits. Of the ones I tasted, I liked the 12 Gauge best. It is named 12 Gauge because it contains 12 berries and fruits. They also had wine made with water from icebergs. While at the gift shop Karen picked up another small puffin in a fisherman’s rain hat.
