I just love this stretch of Route 66 in Arizona. It is a wonderful stretch of road with not much except high desert scenery. My first time on Route 66 was this area and it was the first time in my life I had ever seen an entire train that was probably a mile long. Living in Ohio you just never saw an entire train because of hills or trees. I remember Karen being a bit concerned because on the drive west from Seligman, there was nothing. For some reason that really bothered her knowing there was nothing around for miles while I was fascinated by it.
