The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens

This was one of the last places we went before Covid brought us self isolation. The Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens were started by Henry and Arabella and it is a collections-based educational and research institution located in San Marino Ca. We have been to it about 4 times now and have never paid full admission. Right now adult admission is about $28 but one day a month they have free admission. You have to get tickets on line and they sell out in 5 minutes or less and are available the first day of the month at 9:00 AM. We have never really spent much time in the art gallery or the Huntington mansion because I always enjoy the gardens and taking pictures outside.

My favorite part are the desert gardens and I usually spend a fair amount of time wandering through their and photographing it. The picture of a building was the Huntington Residence as is the indoor shot. They have a Desert Garden, Japanese Garden, Chinese Garden, Australian garden to name some of them. But on the free day it was fairly busy and this was about a week before the Covid-19 and self isolation started happening in the US.
