Silverwood Lake SRA

This was another local jaunt while we were under the governors stay safe at home orders during the pandemic. We have now been under this order for 13 weeks and tomorrow starts week 14. The car still needs to be driven every few weeks so we go out for a drive keeping it down to about 2 hours total because there aren't any places open to go to the bathroom. California is starting to open up so hopefully this will be the last jaunt like this for us. Silverwood Lake is in San Bernardino county and was created in 1971 as part of the state water project.

It is a State Recreation Area (SRA) that has camping, swimming and boating. It is located on the east branch of the California Aqueduct. The Pacific Crest Trail also passes through the SRA. It was a bit of a hazy day so not the best for photos but I wanted to document some of the things we did while under self isolation. We are for sure starting to see a lot more traffic out on freeways and roads in general as people are starting to go back to work.
