We have been going to Joshua Tree now for over 20 years and we have never
seen it as crowded as it is now. You won't see any pictures of people in my
photos because we did not stop at all the instagramable locations such as
Skull Rock. We preferred to go to locations that were not packed with people
taking selfies. It is truly amazing how things have changed since the pandemic
started.

Campgrounds were of course all 100% full. But we spent the night just
outside the park at the Tortoise Rock Casino. It was free to camp in their
parking lot and it was pretty empty. We also had cell phone service and TV
signals. Then for dinner we just went in the Casino and ate. We would easily
camp their again rather then put up with crowded campgrounds in the National
Park. We also had a nice view of the sunset out over the valley.
