San Bernardino County has a number of county parks that have camping and
Mojave Narrows Regional Park is one of them. We really enjoyed our camping
site overlooking the water. This park is a flyway for a number of birds and we
enjoyed just sitting and watching the birds. We also had friends come and
visit with us while we were there. We often go camping during the week for 3
or 4 nights and these parks are so close Karen follows in one of our vehicles.
Because we go during the week it was not even half full. Weekends it can be
packed and they have a lot of fishing tournaments here.

There are a lot of trails and paved paths so next time we go here we will
take our bikes. One night it was kind of cold so we sat in the rig and
watched a very pretty sunset. We also went to visit a friend and his military
collection of vehicles just outside Barstow. Made for an enjoyable getaway.
