Desert Olive Farms is part of the Harvest Host campsite program. If you are a member of Harvest Host you can book a stay for no cost, they just ask that you spend $20 with the host. Typically you are the only person staying there although this host is happy to have a few campers staying. You must be fully self contained. Karen and I just love camping like this instead of a campground full of other campers. The farm house is a 1915 Sears and Roebuck catalog house and the original price was something like $900. The family wasn't sure how they were going to afford it. LOL I think that is the case for all first time buyers.

Desert Olive Farms is just north of Brawley CA and is in the middle of agricultural fields in this case growing alfalfa and lettuce. They also do weddings on weekends on their property. The host gave us a talk about Olive Oils and their history and was very knowledgeable and informative and fun. He had also had a number of very different careers over this life and was happy to answer any questions you might have.
